Kmart Layaway Online

Good Morning Shoppers! If you are one who takes notes of Commercials ( like myself) you would have noticed that Retail giant Kmart started promoting their festive season at the end of September . This commercial featured one of their best Promotions ” The Kmart Layaway”  , when you see the commercial you know Christmas is right around the corner and its time to bring those pocket books out. Unfortunately, we do not have a Kmart in Jamaica but! We are now able to do Layaway Online 🙂  Here is how it works for International Shoppers. 

We all know how Layaway works traditionally, well with the Kmart Layway it is FREE … THERE IS NO SERVICE FEE . Here is how it works

Shop for virtually anything: Pick through items from Clothing, Shoes, Bedding, Furniture, Small Kitchen Appliances, TV / Electronics, Computers and so on. Add these to your Online Shopping Cart.

Make a Down Payment:  This includes the Service Fee and is due when you initiate your contract. You will have to sign up for an account at Kmart and you get to decide how you will be paying ( similar to taking our Furniture on credit) Click here to see a sample Layaway Payment Table to get an idea how how your payment schedule will look.

Make Payments Every 2 Weeks: Payment for your selected items is every 2 weeks. The onus is on you to remember the things in your cart . As the time for payment gets closer , Kmart will send you a reminder that you have an outstanding payment. Payment can be made with Debit/Credit Card.

Pick up your Item: After you’ve made your last payment , the item will be yours! The item/s will then be shipped to you and you would have beat the crowd and got everything you need to make your Holidays special.

As it relates to the Kmart Layaway Online, it is a 8 week plan. All contracts last for 8 weeks . There is a 12 week plan available but that is IN STORE ONLY! If you find that you are no longer interested in the Layaway Plan , you will be able to cancel the Contract . You will only receive refund on the money you’ve made up to the date of cancellation. All items that are available for Online Layaway will be marked as “Available for Layaway” Kmart now ships internationally through their sister store Sears , however i find that the Internationally site does not have as many options as the original site in terms of items . If you are looking for the real Kmart Shopping experience , i would recommend you signing up with a Local Courier service and making your purchases from Kmart itself .
